Songwriters is held once a month on a Sunday evening and is hosted by local fine singer/songwriter Mike Shackleford.  This event has been ongoing for the past 13 years.   All tunes need to be original.   The songwriters bring an eclectic mix of rock, folk, indie, jazz, pop and even broadway on ocasion.   If you have not been to songwriters in Atlantic Beach, you are in for a treat.   The participants range from 8 to 80.  Each song writer usually brings one original song to be shared.   Mike also offers a featured song writer each month, who agrees to share his style of writing and open to questions from the audience.    Suffice it to say, there are generally 20 or more local songwriters at songwriters on any given night.    Songwriters is held at the Atlantic Beach Adele Grage Cultural Center located at 716 Ocean Blvd, Atlantic Beach, Fl, 32233.    An easy way to find it is to go to Al's Pizza in Atlantic Beach, and go North seven blocks.
